I'm a second-generation IT professional and have been computing & online since 1994. Throughout my career I've designed, delivered and led a number of technical IT projects ranging from server refreshes, system overhauls, cloud-migrations, structured cabling installs, to full datacentre moves, and automation initiatives - alongside crafting new ways of working.
I'm based in the UK and have a background progressing from humble beginnings as a Desktop Support Technician, Technical Support Team Lead, Systems Administrator, and project Infrastructure Engineer within a decade long tenure at an industry-leading UK VAR.
Following, I worked for a number of years at the UK's biggest online cycling/tri-sports retailer maintaining and improving both front-end e-commerce and back-office systems leading on key infrastructure projects including datacentre and cloud migrations.
In more recent history, I was Technical Lead at a UK Defence industry start-up, delivering secure complex infrastructure. I "wore many hats", both led and also delivered hands-on - within Agile scrum-ban project workflows I personally designed and implemented within Atlassian suite tooling.
Fundamentally, I'm a jack of all trades IT leader, with deep infrastructure expertise - I pride myself in having a broad range of knowledge - that knowledge enables me to offer deep insight on technical challenges, and the experience, perseverance and tenacity to actually get things done in the real world."
